for several years, broken girls from affluent backgrounds was an unnamed pet project of vocalist, travis williams, and guitarist, chris estes with no intention of publishing or performing live. However, with the decision to add bassist, mike counts, and drummer, shawn stoddard, the band was officially formed. By pulling from a variety of influences, they have accomplished an immersive listening experience with multilayered guitar, heart-wrenching vocals, and deep, unrelenting grooves. with the release of the music video for their single "bridges" followed by their ep, "fiction will see us through", broken girls from affluent backgrounds is focused on promoting their unique sound to a wider audience.
