Second Hand Screen Play

Running’s not walking away when you’re falling down - crawling on your knees. Don’t whisper me your lies.  Porcelain’s the backdrop for black strands and last stands, the struggle’s a quiet surprise. A study in red as the shutters slam tight.

Don’t tell me you’ve been dreaming, I’ve been wide awake a screaming.  Don’t tell me you’ve been dreaming, I’ve been wide awake and screaming

We lie on our backs in the sand, and count up the stars

Moonlight fractures the surface, this still-life’s been drowning a while. Reflection in the window pane - blurry recollections feign - sadness in the hint of smile, silence creeps in with the edge of the tile.

Don’t tell me you’ve been dreaming, I’ve been wide awake a screaming.  Don’t tell me you’ve been dreaming, I’ve been wide awake and screaming

We lie on our backs in the sand, and count up the stars

Don’t whisper me your lies.

SILHOUETTES

With statues of silhouettes... and memories of ash, you come back to me - just like a dream… that i can’t see past. And you hold on tightly to these mangled words, that come spilling off your lips, just like the venom you’ve been living in.

Burn away the silhouettes you’ve been hiding in, and you’ll see the reflection - just like it’s always been. And you hate the way it weighs you down, shadows hang so heavy now And you bolster all your best moves to give them something to wrap their whole world around

How heavy the heart weighs… When you’re screaming inside, these broken words - so well rehearsed are losing the fight.

As we stumble blindly towards the setting sun, dragging shade behind just like white noise and it's deafening.

Burn away the silhouettes you’ve been hiding in, and you’ll see the reflection - just like it’s always been. And you hate the way it weighs you down, shadows hang so heavy now

And you bolster all your best moves to give them something to wrap their whole world around

You get lost on your way down...

Exit Sign

Just give up, on your dreams -- it’s not a legacy you believe in. Hold on tight, to your breath - it’s not a melody you’ve been singing.

it’s hard to see the exit sign when you hold all these memories just like smoke

Cut the strings, around your heart - it’s not the puppetry that moves you.  Tumbling limbs, best to start - hallowed providence consumes you.

It’s hard to see the exit sign, when you hold all your memories just like stones

You change your mind, like it’s the last time - You don’t owe them what they say. You could reach the bottom line.

And it’s hard for you to see the exit sign, when you hold all your memories, just like stone

Just A VILLAIN

I’m just a villain, in disguise. I’m just the trembling in your thighs. I’m the racing pulse you own, I slip between silence and this tone

You change your mind, just like the last time will be your last time. You don’t owe them what they say, because you could reach the bottom line.

We are the buzzing in your thoughts, the humble therapy you brought. To drown the voices, uncoiled and moistened. We’re the mildew of your rind.

You change your mind, just like the last time will be your last time. You don’t owe them what they say, because you could reach the bottom line.

This is the grey slender throat of glory left to rest, the territory you thought you knew best. A static monotone, a grim abandoned thrown - The grinding gears that drive your time.

You change your mind, just like the last time will be your last time. You don’t owe them what they say, because you could reach the bottom line.

Asynchronous Pulse

God damn this gravity, always brings us down, to these shifting glances.

I know the tragedy of unspoken words that show, there are parts of us that know… and don't know.

Our breath between the lines, like vapor in our eyes. It's so cold and numbing.

God damn this gravity, it holds you comfortably.

I know this tragedy, it's always lingering.

Castle walls crumbling down

Waterfalls, splashing now.

Take these Broken  words you found, crossing the ground.

Towards castle walls crumbling down.

You told me you would stay, until the sunlight hit the waves. The tide moves out around you, it holds you down - just like the weight you wear, hanging around your neck. It pulls me in, it pulls me in…

God damn this gravity, it holds you comfortably.

I know this tragedy, it's always lingering.

Castle walls crumbling down

Waterfalls, splashing now.

Take these Broken  words you found, crossing the ground.

Towards castle walls crumbling down.

Tired Hands

How long will our shadows grow, before we lose them in the night

How many empty punches can we throw, before we give up on this fight

Look down at you tired Hands, the scars tell the story - story of you

Would you travel more, maybe stop at 4, make more enemies.

Would you work so hard, let things fall apart, tell us when you’re scared

The rain never falls in your Valley, wouldn't dare now that you're gone...

How deep will this sorrow run, before crumble beneath the weight.

We rally as we chase the sun, and when the dawn comes, it comes too late.

Look down at you tired Hands, the scars tell the story - story of you

Would you travel more, maybe stop at 4, make more enemies.

Would you work so hard, let things fall apart, tell us when you’re scared

I want you to breath…. For me…

Ghosts Of self

Just as she walks out, the punchline lands. And i’m left here waiting and wringing my hands. That’s when it hits me, this pain inside. I'm reeling in silence, I swallow my pride.

We are (we are) the ghosts of self (ghosts of self) Try to hold on to what you've got - it's not enough. You can feel the time skip through your fingers (it's not enough)

There's beauty in breakdown, and best laid plans. As daylight goes fading, our failures stand. Outside my arms reach and burning away - are the lies that we tell ourselves, and the truth we (can't) say.

We are (we are) the ghosts of self (ghosts of self) Try to hold on to what you've got - it's not enough. You can feel the time skip through your fingers (it's not enough)

Bones

Watch the leaves drift, as the lights go dim. These reservations tumbling down.

Muted colors, draining out. Our patchwork movements fade away.

Humbled whispers, are the rusting sound, of promises left to decay. Still there standing, brittle meanings found.

I'll be the shiver in your skin, I'll be the burning in your bones.

Heavy madness, finding apogee.  This story arch’s been left behind.

Eyelids closing, against the crowd.  Half truths rushing towards the ground.

Humbled whispers, are the rusting sound, of promises left to decay. Still there standing, brittle meanings found.

I'll be the shiver in your skin, I'll be the burning in your bones.

Wipe the dirt off your knees and change this scenery, don’t keep your eyes closed and whisper me a better dream.
